Huge congratulations to Ashli H, a KCCHS student who was recognized at the San Diego Library’s “Read! Imagine! Create!” competition. This highly competitive arts contest connects VAPA standards to literacy skills in San Diego classrooms. Ashli and Jayden M’s art is now on display at the Mission Valley Library, while Camila P, Diana G, Fatima M, Johan R, Valentina T, and Ximena T were all selected to have their art put on display at the South Branch Library in Chula Vista. The competition took place after students read "When the Emperor was Divine" in ELD and created artwork inspired by their literary connections and reflections.
