This school year, the King-Chavez Online Teacher Intern Program enters its second year after a successful launch last year! This program is job-embedded and enables new teachers to earn a CA Preliminary Teaching Credential while working in a K-6 classroom. I really enjoyed my experience with the King-Chavez Intern Program. It’s flexible, online, and the teachers are so friendly and helpful! I was able to finish up my preliminary requirements and gain field experience at the same time. Since it’s an internship program, I was able to apply the skills I learned through coursework in my classroom immediately.
